About
Katrina Marie Lahaie is a mythic/symbolic painter, mixed media artist, and writer based in upstate New York. Through painting, drawing, and narrative worldbuilding, she creates symbolic mythic environments that explore resonance, guardianship, transformation, and liminal thresholds between the seen and unseen.
Her current body of work centers on Haevarun — an evolving personal cosmology expressed through intuitive paintings and mixed-media objects. Approaching this world as a wandering witness, she works in a hybrid process: spontaneous gestural flows and sensory-immersed sessions allow imagery to emerge, which she later refines with symbolic elements, fine-line matrix work, gold leaf, and sacred object treatments.
These intuitive structures hold symbolic language, natural motifs, and evolving mythic worldbuilding. The result is a body of work that exists somewhere between painting, remembrance, and dream.
Previously, she sustained her studio through commercial licensing, decorative artwork, and community arts education as founder of the mobile Amuseing Arts Studio. She now devotes her practice fully to this authentic visionary path, inviting viewers into contemplative spaces shaped by memory, nature, folklore, and the unseen architecture of imagination.
